What's on the Settings screen

Every row on the Settings screen, top to bottom — the date and weight formats, the "Ready" toggles, the default color and icon for new lists and categories, your backup and restoring a purchase.

You reach Settings from the More tab. The screen groups its rows under five headings: Display & Formats, Lists, Categories, Data and Purchases.

The top of the Settings screen: Display & Formats with Date format and Weight format, and the Lists section with the Use "Ready" status and Clear "Ready" status toggles and the default color and icon rows

Display & Formats

Date format and Weight format each open a picker, with the format you have chosen shown on the right of the row. See Choose how dates and weights are shown.

Lists

  • Use "Ready" status (Pro) lets you mark items as ready before they go in the bag — bought, charged, washed — with a swipe on the item; the info icon beside it opens a short explanation. See Mark items as ready before packing.
  • Clear "Ready" status decides whether unpacking the whole list also clears the ready marks; it has its own info icon too. Covered in the same article.
  • Default color and Default icon set the color and icon a new list starts with. See Set the default color and icon for new lists and categories.

Categories

Default color and Default icon do the same for a new category, in the same article as the Lists defaults.

The rest of the Settings screen, scrolled down: the Categories default rows, the Data section with Backup, and the Purchases section with Restore purchases

Data

Backup opens the screen where you export your data to a file or bring one back in. See Back up your data and Restore from a backup.

Purchases

Restore purchases looks up any past purchase on your account and re-applies it. While it works, a small spinner appears in the row. It ends with one of four results: Pro restored, No previous purchase found, an offline message asking you to check your connection, or a message asking you to try again. See Restore your Pro purchase.
