Restoring a backup brings back the lists, templates, catalog items, categories, and settings that were saved in the file. It replaces everything currently on your device, so make sure it is the backup you want before you confirm.

  1. On the More tab, tap Settings.
  2. On the Settings screen, under Data, tap Backup.
  3. Tap Import.
  4. Pick the backup file you want to restore.

The app checks the file before it changes anything on your device. A file that is corrupted, incomplete, unreadable, too large, or inconsistent is rejected with a message, and nothing changes. A file made by a newer version of the app you do not have yet is rejected until you update the app.

If the file checks out, a confirmation titled Replace all data with this backup? opens. It explains that the lists, templates, catalog items, categories, and settings stored in the file will be restored, then warns that everything already on your device will be permanently erased and replaced. This cannot be undone. Below the warning, the confirmation lists the backup's File name, when it was Created, its Backup version, and the App version it was made on.

  5. Tap Confirm.

The app restarts and reopens with the restored data. If something goes wrong partway through, the app restores what was on your device before the import when it can; if it can't, you'll see a recovery screen where you can try again or start fresh.

Tap Cancel instead to back out without changing anything.
