Rename a template

Give a template a better name, from the template itself or from the Templates screen, and keep everything inside it exactly as it was.

The name is the only thing about a template you can change this way, and the form for it is the one you filled in when you made it: Edit Template at the top, and a single field under that.

From the template itself

  1. Open the template you want to rename.
  2. Tap the three-dot button in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Edit.
  4. Change the Name.
  5. Tap Save.

From the Templates screen

  1. On the More tab, tap Templates.
  2. Press and hold the template you want to rename.
  3. Tap the three-dot button in the top-right corner.
  4. Tap Edit.
  5. Change the Name.
  6. Tap Save.

Edit is in that menu only while one template is picked. Pick a second one and it goes.

What changes and what does not

The form opens with the current name already in it, so you can edit the part you want instead of typing the whole thing again.

Keeping the name you already have is fine; it is the other templates the new name has to differ from. If one of them has it, Template already exists shows under the field and nothing is saved.

Saving takes you back where you started. The items in the template, and their quantities, are exactly where they were.
