Find a template
Search your templates by name, and search inside one for an item or a whole category, without scrolling through either list.
Once you keep more than a handful of templates, typing two letters beats scrolling. The same magnifying glass works at both scales: it narrows the Templates screen to the templates you mean, and it narrows a template's own screen to the items you mean.
Find a template by name
- On the More tab, tap Templates.
Tap the magnifying glass in the top-right corner.
The screen's name gives way to a search field, with a back arrow at its left for leaving the search again.
Start typing part of the template's name.

The list narrows from the second letter, a moment after you stop typing. Your letters can sit anywhere in the name and capitals do not matter, so "tra" brings up Business Travel as well as Travel Documents. Names are the only thing matched here — what is inside a template is not.
When nothing matches, the screen reads No matching results. Take a letter off and the rest come back.
Tap the cross at the right of the field to clear what you typed. Tap the back arrow to leave the search with every template shown again.
Find an item inside a template
- Open the template.
Tap the magnifying glass in the top-right corner.
The template's name gives way to a search field, with a back arrow for stepping back out of the search.
Start typing part of the item's name, or the name of its category.

Here the search reads both the item's name and the name of the category it is filed under, so typing a category brings up everything in it. The category headings stay in place, and under them only the item rows that matched are left, so you can see where each one sits.
An empty result reads No matching results. here too.
