Start a list from a template
Turn one template or several into a new packing list that already carries the items, and see what happens when they overlap.
A template holds the items you pack for a kind of trip. Starting a list from it brings those items onto a new list, so the packing is half written before you begin. You can start from one template or from several together.
From the Templates screen
On the Templates screen, press and hold the template you want to start from.
The screen switches to selection, and the header counts the templates you picked.
Optional: tap any other template you want on the same list.

- Tap the menu button at the top of the screen.
- Tap Create trip.
Fill in the list form that opens: a Name for the trip, and anything else you want on it.
The templates you came from are already picked there, and the line under the name counts the items that will be copied.
- Tap Save.
The new list opens with those items on it. It is an ordinary list, so it does not become your current trip until you set it.
While you create a list
- On the list form, scroll down to Templates.
Tap each template you want on the new list.

Optional: tap Show more to reach the rest.
The section offers ten templates to begin with, and Show more opens the full set.

- Tap Save.
A template with nothing in it is not offered here, and the Templates section is missing from the form altogether when none of your templates has items.
What arrives on the new list
Every item from the templates you picked arrives once, however many of them mention it. When the same item sits in two templates at different amounts, it comes across at the higher one. The items are copied onto the list, which keeps its own copy of them from then on.
Tip: you can also start a trip while you are looking at one template — tap the three-dot button on its screen and tap Create trip.
