What's on the list form
A guide to the form you fill in when you create, edit or duplicate a list - the name, the look, travel dates and the nights count, templates, and what Save does.
The list form is where you name a trip and set its details. It opens from the plus button on the All Lists tab, and the same form comes back when you edit or duplicate a list.

Name
Name is the only field you have to fill in. The cursor is already in it when the form opens, so you can start typing. Spaces at the start and end of the name are removed when you save.
If you tap Save with an empty name, the field is highlighted and the list is not saved until you type one.
Appearance
The appearance card sets the color and the icon that mark the list in your lists. A new list starts with the default color and icon for lists. Every option on the card is explained in Choose a color and an icon.
Travel dates
Travel dates are optional. The Start and End rows show Select until you pick a date.
- Tap a row to open a date picker. The date is set only when you confirm it; closing the picker with Cancel keeps the date you had before.
- The end date can't be before the start date. If it is, the start row is highlighted and the list is not saved until you fix it.
- When both dates are set and the end is after the start, the section heading shows how many nights the trip lasts, such as "6 nights".
- A row with a date has an X at its end. Tap it to clear that date.
Templates
The Templates section appears when you have at least one template with items in it. Each chip is a template, with your most used ones first. You can tap as many chips as you like, and tap a chip again to unselect it. If you have more than ten templates, Show more at the end of the chips reveals the rest.
When you save, the items of every selected template are added to the new list. An item that is in more than one selected template is added once.
Cancel and Save
Cancel closes the form without saving anything.
Save creates the list and opens it. If saving fails, the app tells you the list was not saved and offers Try again.
When you edit or duplicate a list
The form looks the same, with a different title at the top.
Edit list opens with the list's name, color, icon and travel dates filled in, and there is no Templates section. With both dates set, you see the nights count and an X on each date row. Saving takes you back to where you came from. See Edit a list.
Duplicate list opens when you tap Duplicate () in a list's menu. The name and dates start empty, and the color and icon start at the defaults for new lists. Under the name, a line tells you how many items will be copied to the new list. You can also select templates here, and their items are added next to the copied ones. Saving opens the new list. See Duplicate a list.
