Create a template
Save a set of things you pack again and again - start a template from scratch, from a list you have already packed, or from items you picked out of one.
A template is a set of items you keep for trips of a kind, so your next list starts from it instead of from nothing. There are three ways to make one, and each of them ends on the same short form, titled Create Template.
From scratch
- On the More tab, tap Templates.
Tap the plus button in the bottom-right corner.
Before you have any templates, the screen shows Create template in the middle instead, which does the same thing.
Type a Name for the template.

- Tap Save.
The new template is saved empty. Open it to put items in — see Add items to a template.
From a list you have packed
- Open the list you want to keep as a template.
- Tap the three-dot button in the top-right corner.
- Tap Save as template.
Type a Name for the template.
Under the name, a line counts the items that will be copied.

- Tap Save.
The list itself is untouched, and the items in the new template come across at the quantities the list had.
From items you picked out of a list
- In a list, press and hold an item to start picking.
- Tap any other items you want.
- Tap the three-dot button in the top-right corner.
- Tap Create.
- Tap Template.
- Type a Name for the template.
- Tap Save.
The same line appears here, counting the items you picked. They arrive in the template at one each, whatever the list said.
Whichever way you came
The name has to be one you have not used. If it is taken, Template already exists shows under the field and nothing is saved. There are no travel dates on a template.
Saving takes you back to where you started, with a short Template created message. On the Templates screen, the new template sits at the top of the list.
You can keep five templates; the sixth () opens a sheet when you tap Save, and the name you typed stays on the form.
