Add an item to the catalog
Create an item with a name, a category and a weight, so it is ready to drop onto this trip's list and every list after it.
Everything you pack starts here. An item you create once can go on any list, this trip and the next.
- On the Catalog tab, tap the plus button in the bottom-right corner.
Type the item's Name.
Optional: choose a Category, or tap Add to make one without leaving the item form. A category made here gets a color and an icon like any other.
- Optional: type a Weight.
- Tap Save.
You come back to the catalog with the item already in place, at the top of its category. A category you made along the way is selected for the item, and stays in your list of categories afterwards.
Two items cannot share a name. Capitals and extra spaces do not make a name different, so "Rice cake" and "rice cake" are one name to the app, and the second is refused until you change it.
Tip: leave Weight empty when you do not care what something weighs. You can fill it in later, and there is no need to invent a number now.
