Categories keep a long catalog readable. Items are grouped under them on the Catalog tab and on your lists, so "everything electronic" is one heading instead of a hunt.

  1. On the More tab, tap Categories.

The Categories screen, each row carrying the category's icon, how many items it holds and the handle for dragging it
  2. Tap the plus button in the bottom-right corner.
  3. Type the category's Name.

The new category form with its name field and the appearance card holding color and icon
  4. Optional: pick a color and an icon.
  5. Tap Save.

The new category goes to the end of the list. Drag it higher if you want it to come earlier on the Catalog tab.

A category always has an icon. If you do not pick one, it keeps the icon the form started with.

Two categories cannot share a name, and capitals do not make a name different: "Clothing" and "clothing" are one name to the app.

The name field marked in red, with the message that the category already exists

Tip: you can also make a category while you add an item. Tap Add beside Category on the item form, and the category you save there is chosen for that item.
