Choose a color and an icon
Give a list or a category its own color and icon. What Auto, No color, preset and custom colors mean, and where to find the rest of the icons.
Every list and every category carries a color and an icon, so you can pick out a trip or a group of items at a glance. Both are chosen on the card headed APPEARANCE, which sits on the list form and on the category form.
Above the colors, the card names the one in use after Color, for example "Color / Auto".
Pick a color
The color row slides sideways. Tap a tile to use it. From the left:
- Auto, the tile with the sparkle. The app picks one of the preset colors for you, and the same list or category always gets the same one.
- No color, the crossed-out circle. Keeps a neutral look.
- The preset colors. They come with the app's color preset.
- The three-dot tile, which holds the custom colors, a fixed set.
To use a custom color:
- Tap the three-dot tile at the end of the color row. Choose color opens.
Tap a color.

- Tap Done.
The custom color then joins the row. On All Lists a list's color fills its row, and a category's color fills the small square with its icon.
Pick an icon
The icon row shows the first icons of the set. Tap one to use it. The rest are behind the three-dot tile:
- Tap the three-dot tile at the end of the icon row. Choose icon opens.
Tap an icon.

- Tap Done.
The icon then joins the row. The set is fixed, and there is no search. A category always has an icon, and there is no way to leave it without one.
Tip: Cancel closes either window and keeps the color or icon you had.
Several at once
When you select several lists or several categories, Change offers Color and Icon for all of them together. Color then opens the whole palette in one window: Auto and No color at the top, then the Preset and Custom groups.
New lists and categories start with the default color and icon set in Settings, until you pick others.
