What's on the Current Trip tab

The Current Trip tab opens the list you are packing right now. See which list it shows, how that list is chosen, and what the tab offers before you have a trip.

The Current Trip tab is the first tab in the bar at the bottom. It opens the list you are packing right now, so you do not have to find it on All Lists every time.

Which list the tab shows

The app chooses the list for you. The last list you added an item to, ticked off, or edited becomes the current trip. Renaming a list does not count.

You can also choose one yourself with Set as Current Trip in a list's menu — see Set a list as your current trip. That choice lasts until you change items in another list, which then takes its place.

The choice is remembered when you close and reopen the app. On All Lists, the same list carries a Current Trip label.

At the top

The name of the current trip's list sits in place of a screen title. There is no back arrow here, because there is nowhere to go back to.

The list itself

Below the name is the same list screen you get when you open a list from All Lists: the magnifying glass, the three-dot button, the category headings, the item rows with their squares, and the add button. Anything you do here changes that list. Every one of these is described in What's on the list screen.

When there is no current trip

Until you open a list and start packing, the tab has nothing to show.

The Current Trip tab with no trip yet, a short message and a Go to Lists button
  • Current Trip — the heading at the top, shown only while there is no trip to open.
  • The message in the middle tells you what fills the tab: open a list and start packing, and the list appears here on its own.
  • Go to Lists — opens the All Lists tab, where you pick a list.

If you delete the list that was your current trip, the tab goes back to this empty view.
